About PotBlack NZ

After initially importing many hundreds of coin operated pool tables into New Zealand for its own operations in the early 90's, PotBlack NZ made the choice to establish its own manufacturing facility in this country to better control quality and to be more adaptable in our diverse marketplace.

10 Years later PotBlack NZ and its qualified staff have manufactured & supplied Pool tables & Services to hospitality venues throughout New Zealand, expanding recently to include New Zealand made Pool tables for Home use, Clubs, Businesses and for Tournament Play, along with an increasing range of wholesale accessory items.

With PotBlack tables located everywhere from Cape Reinga to Bluff, providing a proficient backup service created an opportunity for PotBlack to align with independent operators throughout the Country capable of delivering professional services and it is anticipated that these relationships will strengthen further to the real benefit of the sport.

Not only is PotBlack our registered trademark but we chose the branding because we feel it truly epitomises the strength of the sport and also defines the possibilities and potential of a recreational sport we as a business aspire to deliver. It is reputed that "Pot Black" the BBC television program of the 70's that was developed initially to utilize new colour TV technology was at one point, the UK's 2nd most popular weekly TV program and when ABC picked up the programme the exposure the sport was given also created a boom for snooker and related cuesports here and in Australia.

Our range of pool tables are largely manufactured in New Zealand utilizing a production run mentality to keep costs at a minimum but then personalising the product at the finishing stages allows some reasonable degree of individualisation which we are happy to extend further where practical. Quality materials are sourced locally where available but we still feel compelled to use only best quality Italian slate and English Hainsworth cloth.
